Installing of Privacy Glass

Installing of Privacy Glass is basically similar to an installation of any other glass. You need to be able to lift the glass to the installation area with no damage, use proper frames and put the glass in it.

Installing of Privacy Glass

A privacy glass may have different properties:

  1. Tempered (Toughen) or not tempered.

  2. Different thickness 4+4, 5+5, 6+6, 5+7mm

  3. Clear (usually come green) or Super clear color (no yellowish or greenish print)

  4. It has wires come out from one or two edges. These wires should be connected to a special transformer.

  5. With cuts and holes or not

  6. Framed with a special Silicone protection to avoid humidity exposure

The installer has to pay attention the following matters:

  1. Use of a special no ACID Neutral Silicone

  2. With the help of a qualified electrician

Privacy Adhesive Film

Sticking of adhesive film over an existing glass need experience and expertise. Although it may be easy with small size film, it happens to be more challenging with bigger size.

PDLC adhesive film is even more challenging as there is no room for mistakes...The film already comes with electrodes and wires on it so there is one “shot” to stick it. Unlike 3M film or any other “milky” visual film that stick to the glass with water, the PDLC adhesive film is a dry stick, the challenge is make is fast, right and with no bubbles.

The installer has to pay attention the following matters:

  1. Before installation, read carefully our Installation Guide.

  2. Clean very well the glass. 2/3 of installation time should go to cleaning the glass.

  3. Use of a special no ACID Neutral Silicone

  4. With the help of a qualified electrician

  5. To connect the wires to transformer

  6. To add a remote control if needed
